We specialise in horse riding, quad biking, luxury apartments and villas in Marrakech. We do not cross hire, we own our horse stables and quad bikes and therefore give you the best price whilst meeting all safety regulations unlike the rest.
Dear Readers Marhaba (welcome). Marakech Loisirs ("law-wa-zer") is proud to present a new informal custom made tours in Morocco.
Who we are:
We are a privately run tour company. Our expertise stems from the fact that we focus on giving the 100% genuine experience of holidaying in Morocco. Our guides are 100% English speaking local Moroccans whose aim is to treat their guests as their own.
What we do:
Unlike the big tour companies we focus on giving the traditional hospitality by providing the service ourselves; home from home, dedicating our personal time with you. You will never be in a large tour group of 20-50 people - that's a big NO NO! All our tours are privately run, in our private cars or minibuses.
We will never bully you into taking excursions or trips that you don't want. We advise on individuals on their personal requirements then cater for their needs.

Marrakesh is a vibrant place with many things to do, you can sit back and relax in the cafes of up market city. Or you can experience the hustle and bustle of the Medina (Jem el Fenna) where the snake charmers and all sorts of exotic things take place. Late Sir Winston Churchill (British Wartime Prime Minister), declared: I am captivated by Marrakech. Here in these spacious palm groves the traveller can contemplate the stately snow-clad mountains. The sun is brilliant but not scorching; the air crisp, day is bright, the nights cool and fresh, calling it the 'Paris of the Sahara'.
If you want to explore further, then why not escape the city and take a trek up the famous Atlas Mountain. Or ride a camel or a 4x4 in the sand dunes of the famous Sahara desert.

The quad trip crosses mountains, wild palm groves, dry rivers and rock desert and also goes through traditional Berber villages where people still live and organize their lives like 200 years ago. A traditional Moroccan tea will be offered to you on our way and you will have the chance to take your photos.

Experience Marrakech differently and try a complete visit of the region sprinkled of palm grove and high dry plateaux. Have a try of a night in a Berber family house made of clay. On site, the family will take you to the traditional hammam, that we are sure you will definitely enjoy! A gargantuan Moroccan dinner will end the day.

It's the best way to discover the charming old fortress of Essaouira within one day.
From Marrakech, we organize your transfer in a private car or minibus, with air -conditioned. In Essaouira, you will love to spend some time visiting the fortifications build by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Your lunch will be served in a restaurant in the port. You'll join the team quad in the early afternoon to start riding the dunes, something you'll never forget in your whole life.

Go refresh yourself to Ourika Valley. A great view on High Atlas is waiting for you. Landscapes, cultures, villages hanged on mountains will surprise you. For lunch, your table will be dress under the tree, near by the river Ourika to discover a Moroccan tajine. Your guide will propose you a walk to reach the 5 waterfalls around the valley (the walk is optional - extra charge).

Depart from Marrakech in very comfortable private car to reach the very old trail of Sidi Fers which cross the High Atlas to lead to Imlil village, the first step of trekkers going to climb to top of North Africa, the 13673 ft-high Jbel Toubkal. Near by the river and the walnut trees where houses are built in rocks, the inhabitants of Imlil are welcoming and peaceful. We invite you to join Lahcens house on jennys back, at top of the village to taste the most wonderful tajine you ever had, while watching the amazing surroundings.

D3. Ouzoud Waterfalls Day trip
In a very comfortable private car, go find out about Morocco's most famous waterfalls!
Hundred-meters high, the waterfalls link Ouzoud River to El-Abid River. It's a wonderful natural show. Beside the stalactites, the water ends in the natural pools where you can easily swim in summer. Your lunch will be set in a typical restaurant close enough so you can enjoy the sound of water falling. In afternoon, your guide can show you around by a walk across olive-wood to try to have a look on some monkeys living near by - if you're lucky! (the walk is optional - extra charge).

D4. Essaouira the Mogador Day trip
Come see the sea!
The charming harbour of Essaouira, facing the Atlantic Ocean, is famous for it's beautiful fortress, it Gnaoua Music Festival and it Windsurf Championship. D6. Water Rafting - Ourika River Half Day (Dec-May)
The Ourika Valley is a very popular tourist destination for both visitors and Moroccans. The stunning back drop of the often snow covered Atlas mountains along with the steep sided gorge with the Ourika river running its length make this a must visit destination for those in Marrakech who want to get out of the hustle and the heat. Rafting trips here are a bit of a spectator sport and you will have all the local children and villagers clapping and cheering you as you pass down the river.
We have different trips on this river so we have a trip to suit all adventure seeking requirements and abilities. Age range from 16 years and up.

D.7 Heaven Sake's - Hot air balloon rides - Dawn
We pick you up from the hotel between 5:30 and 6:30am according to the season, whisk you off to the launch site in a stylish 4x4. Once there, the balloon is prepared for flight, (you are welcome to join in the fun of setting up the balloon to get that extra feel). After preparation you will board the gondola and on the instruction of the pilot to his ground's crew 'cast off'...the magical moment is anticipated with the mixed feeling of goose-bumps and butterflies, as we rise vertically towards the Moroccan heavens; the most scenic locations of the world Morocco. A chase vehicle, is in constant radio communication with the pilot to establish a suitable landing site. Once we have our 'kiss landing', a private 4x4 is awaiting to take you on a tour of the local Berber village for some Moroccan pastries and mint tea. D.8 Yoga in Marrakech - Single Session (1.5hr)
Private yoga sessions open for public in Marrakech:
The daily yoga classes, tailored to the level of the group, are scheduled before breakfast and dinner. The lessons are thorough with theoretical arguments and easy to comprehend guidelines for spirituality and healthy living thus opening a portal to the hidden aspects of yoga.
Our classes will show the linkages and interactions between the mental, physical, philosophical and spiritual aspects of yoga with highlights from expert teachers experience which will make yoga tangible for leading to genuine mental and physical wellbeing. The lessons, thanks to a progressive approach, will allow the guest to achieve the right state of flow in order to improve mobility, breathing and circulation while strengthening muscles, tendons and ligaments.

D+1. Trekking in the High-Atlas 2-days trek
Recharge your batteries!
Day 1
After breakfast, you'll leave Marrakech to take the road of Ourika Valley and get to Setti Fatma. Meet your hiking team (guide and mule-drivers) at Tazzitountes bridge (4102ft). A half-an-hour walk will lead you to the gorgeous Ait Oucheg Valley, which is in the heart of the High Atlas where you will enjoy the superb view over the villages of Anammer and Aguerd. Welcome to the Plateau of Yagour where your lunch will be served.
In the afternoon, you will follow a small track road to reach the pass of n'Oucheg beautiful village (5447 ft) where you will spend a comfortable night at a local inhabitant's house and have a copious meal.
5 hours of walking.
Day 2
You will start the day walking along the slopes of the mountain to reach the small Ait Oucheg valley while passing by old and traditional villages. On your way up, you will find Aguerd gorges where we have lunch. You will carry on to the Ourika valley following a small path which will lead you to a special view point where you can see the entire valley of Ait Oucheg. On your way down, you will walk trough juniper trees and thuja forest to get to Imi nTaddart, where your transportation will be waiting for you. 6 hours of walking.
End of the trekking.
Back to Marrakech.

D+2. Climbing of Jbel Toubkal 3-days trek
The Maghreb's highest mountain!
Depart of your hotel in Marrakech to reach Imlil village at 5509 ft of altitude. Meet your mule-drivers and their jennies to start the trek. Meziks Pass (8728 ft) will be your first stage to get to the panoramic view over the Meziks village, Ait Mizanes valley and Tazararts plateau. You will cross a juniper and oak trees forest to arrive at Azib Tamsoult (7383 ft) where your night camp will be set. 4 hours 30 minutes of walking.
Gradually, across the great and wild landscapes, you will go up directly to Tzikerts Pass while looking at the Ighouliden waterfalls, which are giving water to the entire Azzaden Valley. Lunch will be served at this place. In the afternoon, you will reach Aguelzims Pass (11485 ft) to have your first look at the Toubkal. Descend to the Toubkal refuge at 10500 ft. Dinner and a night at this comfortable refuge built by the CAF (French Alpine Center). 6 hours 30 minutes of walking.
Day 3 Climbing of Jbel Toubkal optional
Awaking at 4:30AM to have breakfast and to start climbing early to avoid the sun. It takes about 3 hours to get to the top, it's a good and hard way up but worth while for this satisfying moment to look at Morocco from the top at 13673 ft of altitude. Back to the refuge we will serve your lunch. Way down to Aremd and have a look on the famous marabout of Sidi Chamharouch, who was a holyman revered by local people. Many people are used to coming over, mainly women, come for pilgrimage. Lovely and easy descent to Aremd (6280 ft) and then Imlil village at 5709 ft of altitude. End of the trek. 9 hours 30 minutes on walking. Back to Marrakech.

D+3. Ouarzazate, Kasbahs and it's region: 3days:
Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate via Ait Ben Haddou
Appointments and departure in 4x4/Private Car to Ouarzazate via the Tizi-n-Tichka, continued to join the kasbah Telouet ancestral home of Pacha Glaoui, continue on a trail through the Ksour and including the Kasbah Anmiter in order to reach the valley Ounila.
Continuation of the track to join the kasbah Tamdakhte and that of Ait Ben Haddou (Unesco World Heritage Site: Hollywood greats such as the Gladiator was filmed). Have a nice lunch before departure to Ouarzazate. Arrive at the charming place Oasis of Fint and overnight at a bivouac.
Day 2: Discover The Oasis of Fint
After breakfast, depart for an excursion to discover the oasis of Fint on foot (donkey riding for kids); go and visit a local womens project and artisan workshops and maybe if you're lucky, get to see how berber food is cooked. We enjoy mint tea and lunch at a Berber restaurant and accommodation in a hostel with traditional Moroccan music and folk-lore entertainment to pass the night away.
Day 3: Oasis of Fint> Ouarzazate >Marrakech
After a traditional breakfast, we make departure to palm Ouarzazate, make a grand tour of Kasbah Tourirte, lunch at Ait Ben Hadou and return for departure to Marrakech, arriving late afternoon/evening.

Marrakech Ouarzazate - Oasis of FintÂ
Depart from Marrakech early morning towards Ouarzazate via the collar of Tizi-In-Tichka. Through this route we will visit Tamdakhte kasbah and the magnificent Ait Ben Haddou. We will settle down and enjoy the beautiful scenery with a nice picnic lunch before making way back towards Ouarzazate. Finally arriving at our camp at the charming & unexplored Oasis of Fint. Here we enjoy dinner and relax with with traditional Berber hospitality and music.
Oasis of Fint- Throats of Dadès - Tinejdad - Goulmima - Erfoud - Erg Chebbi - MerzougaÂ
Wake up early to enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast before departure. We make our way towards the valley of the pinks and Dades (stop over for lunch), then make route for Tinejdad Goulmina, Erfoud, and finally arriving at Merzouga. You will make your way to the camps via a Arabian style camel trek, greeted by the highest of sand dunes in Sahara. On arrival, you will settle down for another great feast fit for the kings, whilst watching the sunset disappearing into the horizon of the sky-lit stars. Relax in your bivouac nestled at the foot of the great dunes of Erg Chebbi and let the Berber's work their hospitality on their guests, as they entertain the night away.
Day 3
Merzouga - Tazarine - koub - Tansikht - Agdez - Marrakech
After breakfast, departure from Merzouga crossing Tazarine; a picturesque mountain with oasis backdrop of the kasbah valley of Draa and Tansikht. We descend our way towards the lush greenery of the Wadi Draa Agdes. Here we cross mud villages and discover luxuriant cultures in the Draa region (unknown to most humans). We settle for a nice lunch at our last destination in Ouarzazate. Finally making back to Marrakech mid afternoon, evening.

D+5. Desert Oasis - SAHARA EXTRAVAGANZA
5 days/4 nights
When the dream comes true!
Depart from Marrakech in a 4x4/Private car in the direction of Ouarzazate.
You will cross the High-Atlas through the Tichka pass at 8728 ft of altitude. Just after having lunch into a traditional Berber restaurant, you will have a walk on the traces of the famous Pacha Glaoui and take the trail of Telouet to reach the ancient fortress of Ait Benhaddou which has been adopted by UNESCO in 1987. You will arrive at the charming and very comfortable Oasis Fint, where you will rest for the night in a relaxing camp.
Depart from Oasis Fint towards Agdz, Zagora and MHamid. This is going to be such a beautiful day! Driving along the Drâa valley and it river, you will discover a multitude of kasbahs spreading in the tremendous palm grove. Your lunch will be served in a charming place in Zagora, right in the middle of this oasis of freshness. You will visit the typical village of Tamgroute it potters and it ancient koranic library. Late afternoon, you will arrive to the village of MHamid which is the end of the road.
Free time in the morning.
After a good lunch, you will be back on the trails in your 4x4. That's another full adventure day which is waiting for you. On the tracks of the deep desert, great dunes of Chgaga. Chegaga is the real desert of Morocco yet to be discovered by the tourist camps: sand tracks, black rocks plateaux, lunch under the tamarix trees, amazing sunset and bivouac in the heart of the dunes ocean.
Dinner and night under tents or facing stars.In the morning wake up before sunrise and watch the most monumental time during your travels Make sure to have your camera next to your bedside.
Day 4
Early wake up to look at sunrise riding camels, breakfast and depart along the dunes: great spaces, dry lake and a break into a small oasis which is the unique spring in this area.
Depart to go through Irikis lake, meet some nomad people who will lead you to Foumzguid where you will have your lunch. You will carry on the path through rocks desert and the black mountains of Saghro. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at Oasis Fint, near Ouarzazate to spend a very comfortable deserved night.
Dinner and night at hotel.
Day 5
After breakfast at Oasis Fint, departure towards Ouarzazate : visit the Tourirte Kasbah after that we take the route to Marrakech, while we stop over at Ait ben hadou for Lunch then make our final journey back to Marrakech

D+6. Sahara Desert & Beyond - 7 Days
Day 1:
Morning departure to Ouarzazate via the Tizi-In-Tichka.
Visit of Ait Ben Haddou in Ouarzazate (UNESCO world heritage site) where lunch will be served. Then departure to the Valley of Roses, crossing the Berber villages, and continue to tinghir to spend the night in a hostel.
Day 2:
After breakfast we depart towards the Todra Gorge. Stop to admire the many landscapes, then continue towards Tinjdad where we stop off for a spot of traditional lunch. In the afternoon we drive to Merzouga (small desert) where we mount on our Camels to ride to Erg Chebbi (grand desert famous high dunes). Here we relax and recline in our camps whilst we watch the sunset take place with music and entertainment accompanied with our Berber Dinner.
Day 3:
We wake up very early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise over the red dunes.
Have a nice hearty breakfast before heading back on our camel to the hostel where we start to Alnif Tazarine in a nice 4x4.
We stop for lunch at the great oasis of palm trees and the Draa Valley.
In the afternoon we hit the road until we Zagora. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4:
Breakfast and return via the Draa Valley to admire the Berber villages.
And continue via Ouarzazate. Arrive late afternoon at the lovely place of Oasis Fint and spend the night in a hostel.
Day 5:
Have a local Oasis Fint breakfast, and spend the day to discover the oasis of Fint.
The day is spent walking on foot to allow us to explore and view this unknown part of Morocco. Following the river bed, admiring the natural landscape of arid mountains where fabulous alongside lush valleys and gardens with their irrigation system (renowned in our area). We have lunch along the river, near a spring and under the trees. During this walk we will meet Berber families and will be received by them for a traditional "mint tea" and have a chat with the locals.
Return to your room in a hostel where you can enjoy a relaxing shower and get ready for the dinner and another musical evening that awaits us!
Day 6:
Breakfast and departure to the Palm of Ouarzazate located 40 km outside the town of Ouarzazate, stop for lunch and take a grand walk around the park, and return to spend the night in a hostel.
Day 7:
After breakfast at Ouarzazate, we leave Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah. Visit of kasbah Tourirte and of the famous the film studio (where the famous Holywood films such as the Gladiator was made). We stop there for some nice lunch, before making our way back to Marrakech where the tour finishes.

Bookings:
All bookings will require a 30% mandatory deposit to confirm your place. Deposit may vary depending on the chosen tours and excursion - The remainder will be paid in full locally CASH.
Pricing on this site will reflect on the current exchange rate equivlent to that of the Moroccan Dirham. Therfore the price may change at short notice.
*Please ensure to take adequate travel insurance prior to your arrival to Morocco.
Cancellations:
If you cancel your booking, the following applies:-
- All cancellations must be notified in writing
- If notification occurs after payment of deposit but 1 month before tour commencement, your deposit is lost and there is no refund.
- If notification occurs at least 1 month before tour commencement and you have paid your tour in full, 70% of your tour cost will be refunded.
- If notification occurs between 4 weeks and 3 weeks before tour commencement, 40% of your tour cost will be refunded .
- If notification occurs between 3 weeks and 1 week before tour commencement, 10% of your tour cost will be refunded
- If notification occurs 1 week or less before tour commencement, 0% of your tour cost will be refunded; includes last minute cancellations or no-shows.
